rewarding day

just spent the day doing my volunter work and feel happy I made a difference to 12 youths with life challenges. It makes you feel taller as you leave, it makes your heart swell as you see them see a new direction and life possibilities. We did an excercise and I got them the write on the flip chart what assumtions they had made about me in the first hour of meeting me. I made me smile so much I thought I would take a picture and share it.

That's a wonderful feeling knowing that you made a difference. My job is working with students with similar problems. While every single day is a challenge, I know that somehwere in it I will have made a difference (however small) to some kid who deserves a kind word.

It is rewarding to offer your time and knowledge to others that appreciate it.

"... not to be messed with!" I love that!

Always is a great feeling to find out what others think of you!

Thanks for volunteering. I am big on volunteerism, my family was when I was growing up and still are today. Dad is 75 and mom will be 73.

How neat to see you are thought of so positively.

They got the "feisty" right, eh?
